Well, January brought a rough start to the year with a declining market. The big losses that you see in the savings account are due to money that I used to buy on some of the stock market dips, which is the only reason some of the investment accounts are positive for the month. Hopefully January isn’t an indicator for the year and we’ll see better things moving forward.
Some of you may also notice that I have converted my SEP IRA to a Solo 401k. There is a little more administration to this, but it gives me the option to add a little more money to the account per year and I can do so in the Roth form. I’m continuing to put some money in Lending Club and should double my account size by the end of the year.
