Wow, stock market gains at the end of July really gave a big boost to our net worth. (Never mind the fact that those gains have probably all been lost in today’s market beatdown.) So, although the nice vacation we enjoyed took a couple of thousand out of our savings, it was way more than made up for in gains. July set a new record for gains in a single month.
Nice returns. I only managed 8.4% in my 401k for the same period — and that’s with an “aggressive plan.” Guess I need your 401k plan or advisors. :) I’ve been doing my own spreadsheet modeled off yours, five months in I have to say it’s an interesting exercise.
