Every month I post my updated net worth for those that are interested in following my progress. I have been tracking my net worth online since January 2006. I look forward to compiling the numbers each month, and doing so keeps me motivated, focused, and accountable.
October’s downturn in the market had a painful impact on my net worth. A large portion of my net worth is in the stock market so it goes where the market goes, but progress has been made in diversifying a bit into real estate as I mentioned we were looking into last month. I’ll have more to report on that next month.
It’s just one of those months that no of us got right. but we continue to look and pursue those line items we can control – savings, increasing our investments, debt reduction.

Yeah, I don’t take it too hard. The market will go up and down, and we’ll just stick to the plan. Keep up the good work yourself, it wont be long till you hit that first million!
